Rebrand

During my early years at AMT, I was determined to rebrand the organization's logo in order to modernize and update it for use in today's manufacturing and technology industries. The existing logo was outdated and not suitable for representing the association in these industries.

As part of the rebranding process, I focused on highlighting the benefits of membership in AMT and on differentiating the association from its competitors. I also recognized that there was a lot of confusion among members about the products and services offered by AMT and that this was partly due to the lack of cohesiveness in the organization's branding. By redesigning the logo and creating a more cohesive brand identity, I aimed to address these issues and better support the needs of our members.

Before

As a graphic designer, I had the opportunity to closely examine the organization's logo and identified several problems with it. One issue was that the length and color of the logo made it difficult to read, particularly for our average demographic of members. Additionally, the website was not user-friendly and featured misleading dropdown menus, which caused confusion for users and made it difficult for them to access the information and resources they needed.

These issues led me to conclude that a rebranding of the logo and website was necessary in order to better meet the needs of our members and improve their experience with AMT. By addressing these problems, I hoped to create a more cohesive and effective brand identity that would better serve the needs of our members.

Execution

After conducting extensive research into the industry and the latest design trends, I was able to modernize the logo and update it for the current market. One of the key changes I made was to replace the serif font with a sans serif font in order to give the logo a more modern and cohesive appearance. The objective of this redesign was to demonstrate the evolution of the organization and its commitment to staying current and relevant in the industry.

In addition to updating the main logo, I also created a shorter version of the logo to be used on printed materials. This shorter version presented a stronger and more distinct identity for the organization, making it easier for members to recognize and connect with AMT. Overall, my redesign of the logo and creation of a shorter version helped to better represent the organization and its values in the marketplace.
