Concept
For this project, I was given a task to create a series of three book covers through the use of photography along with the use of typography. My design was to define how the individual elements coordinate with each other conceptually and visually as printed books are increasingly commodity objects, yielding their utilitarian aspects to e-formats.
Execution
The three final book covers that I chose were a series of folktales that Disney had recreated in order to tell the stories to kids. Through research, I was able to come across the original stories within the three books I have chosen. I wanted to incorporate the ideal story within the photography so I chose to take realistic images to appeal the book to a mature audience.
